Current list of available two-character usernames (44)

That is very weird
Perhaps they were tests

I know who controls that account, we obtained it through emailing THT. They were very nice and allowed us to have it. That’s secret! -1

I see.

Yes it was inactive, created in 2014, No projects and no favorites. THT verified it was inactive and it was very kind of them to let us use it.

The date says 2021 though. Did they delete the old account? Would they do that for any inactive one?

They transferred the name.

THT does not clean us old accounts, but we asked them to do this one. Unsure if they want to be blasted with requests like that.

Because I see some one-character usernames that have no content, and I’ve always been interested in those.
If I asked, I’d only want one, obviously, to not annoy them.

so many notifications! sets to normal /lh

Yes we had our eye on “.” Since it’s so little

I’ve had my eye on them for some time

Very interesting reason.
“-” is an interesting one to me. No content, first of all. It’s a special character, but you don’t need to press shift to type it, and it’s centered. Overall very nice looking.
“1” is also very interesting to me for obvious reasons, although it has content. Old content that doesn’t work, but probably still content in the eyes of THT.

Would me emailing THT for the "-" username be a bad idea or would they probably grant the request, in your opinion?

It doesn’t hurt to ask.

I actually just asked them a couple of days ago for the “:” account, but I haven’t heard back from them yet.

I think THT is willing to do account related stuff, they’re super nice. So I think it’s fine. (It’d just be intense if 10 other users did the same thing, since the supply is so limited)

“:” is probably a no-go as you can’t use that character within the first 5 characters any more.

Actally, it’s already an existing account since back in 2013/2014 the rules were different.

There’s even single character emoji names I.e. :skull: and :joy:

But perhaps you’re right (or is my strategy deeper)

I or someone else should be a list of currently taken one-digit usernames, and maybe even two-digit usernames. There’s some really obscure ones with characters that are not allowed anymore

&, $, #, ?, :, ;, , =, ~, %, , @, €, ¥,
These are all the accounts I found that have characters that arent allowed anymore. Surprisingly there isn’t the £ character, while chars like €, and ¥ have accounts.

Does this mean that there are no more 1 letter usernames?

Yes indeed. All are taken.

Don’t forget :joy: and :skull: are taken as well

That’s super interesting about the currency symbols

Wow, I never know emojis were allowed
Are those the only emojis allowed?

Yes, but they might not transfer that as it cannot be obtained anymore, even if it weren’t taken. Understandably so, too.

Those were the only emojis taken I think, before they changed the rules a super long time ago.

I wonder if anyone made a space bar username

Ah it’s as I feared
