Considering all of the other platforms that have done so, I feel like the character minimum change will probably happen at some point, unfortunately. I hope it doesn’t, though.
If THT actually did that, what would your stance be?

I would also be sad. But then maybe I’d be glad? Because then we’d have obtained some rare stuff.

I guess it would also depend on the situation.
I’ve analyzed that if someone had an invalid username, they probably wouldn’t be able to change their profile picture as it uses the same packet as changing the username, so it rejects it as the request contains an invalid username. You can’t remove the name field or it rejects it, and if you change it to a valid one, then, well… I think you see the problem.
This situation could also be a little sour if they changed all usernames that didn’t fit the new regulations. But that’s unlikely.

But yeah, it’s pretty unlikely since literally every two-character username (except the occasional drop) is taken anyway.

Oh yeah I meant to ask, how often will you be checking for availability?
I’ll eventually be swapping some account names, so there may be extremely short periods of time where a name becomes available.
