now I want that API
I always like to mess around with APIs

Not sure if I’m allowed to disclose the endpoint, sorry
seems reasonable
I’m also working on a list of existing invalid usernames, which are usernames that were once valid but now aren’t. For example, “#” has disallowed characters within the first 5 characters, and "Gems " (not to be confused with “Gems”) has trailing spaces, which get trimmed now. Leading spaces also get trimmed now. These usernames were possible until some time in 2015/2016.
This excludes RTL characters, as I already have over 500,000 IDs that need to be checked, and I certainly don’t need over 5,000,000 that need to be checked.
How much computing power does this take for that?
I’m also certain that some of the invalid usernames aren’t quite Community Guidelines friendly, so I’m not sure how I’ll even post it. I’ll probably ask a leader first, and then link to a file sharing service as it’s almost definitely over the character limit.
Not much, actually.
At least, not on my end anyway. Although the API doesn’t seem to lag behind while it’s running.
Then why would it span over multiple days?
(this quote might be wrong)
(I think I know, just want clarification)
because there are over 500,000 IDs to cycle.
makes sense
I also can’t just leave it on overnight. What if the API started lagging and I never knew because I was asleep? Then, people in other timezones would have to suffer unless someone at THT cut off the packet stream from my IP temporarily.
also thanks to ex-available two-character username e-
for planting my project that gives you free seeds if you look at the thumbnail on the web explorer

Lol that got me how did you make it animated?
It’s the power of 1. And -1.
LAST ONE: “q-” (as of right now)
@0x7F I typically do not mention you all twice a day, but some people might find this really important. I also want to ask if you mind being mentioned multiple times a day or not.
There is only one available two-character username left. You heard me: one. While some people with two-character usernames may sometimes change their usernames, the demand for them might increase during this time making it much harder to get one.

Also, about mentioning multiple times a day:
0 voters
(NOTE: I will typically go by the one with the most votes. Even if “No” has the most votes, I might still mention after mentioning earlier that day if something really important comes up, something more important than this.)
Also, by “minor” things, I mean things I would normally mention you for.
honestly, if you don’t want to be tagged—leave the tag list. it’s up to the tag owner to decide when to tag their group.
