Second color related topic of the day! I’m on a role. I think, that as well as HSB and RGB, you should be able to input a HEX code (I think that’s what it’s called, a CMYK, a HSV, or a HSL code. What do y’all think?
Hex colors would be a good idea
They would expand the color range
Yeah. It would be awesome.
Actually hex is based strictly off of RGB
Yeah but it makes it easier to copy off of the google color picker
hslpicker.com is the way to go
Yeah but RGB has a wider color range
One thing they should add is lists
That way, clones can easily have their own variable data
Hex is exactly RGB but in hexadecimal (0-9A-F).
Hexadecimal means 16 values before the next digit (base-16), so the number of combinations is still 256. Try googling “hex format”
Yeah, this would be cool! We already have HSB and RGB, but HEX colors are very common in web development, which means that they are often used by other programming languages as well. The same goes for HSB and RGB, of course, but I have never encountered a programming language or framework that uses HSB except for Hopscotch. Maybe once. HEX is very common in what I am working with though.
Interesting, it would probably open up a lot more color ideas!
