1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened): I was testing my code but it wouldn’t work. Yet when I tried it 2 times earlier it worked fine.

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

  1. Play the project
  2. I dunno how it happened tbh
    ….

I expected this to happen:
The code work like last time
But instead this happened:
The text I put was invisible

Here’s a sweet screenshot:
A few

I’m thinking “could it be the check once if thing?” But it worked fine before.

Was the “too many check once ifs won’t let the code work” bug ever fixed?
Sounds kinda like that…

But the code has been like that and it’s worked fine.

Check if you manage clones differently than before

It should be fixed, or the project I’m working on wouldn’t work

I added a block or two of code to a different clone, but nothing else

When did you create the draft? (App version)

Trying deleting the code you added after your last successful test

3.34.0 I think

Or the one before it

The link isn’t working. But I suggest putting a set text to “hi” in Every if statement to check if it works.

Yup, as I thought.

You’ll need to update your draft’s player version, then come back.

Do you have my Shortcut?

I had statements in the text

Yep

Should I use it and change the version to “35”?

No. You should have version 1.3, let me write the instructions

  1. Run the shortcut
  2. Choose to modify a new trait, “playerVersion”
  3. Change the player version from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1
  4. Save the project and run it

Tell me if that does anything

Yep I have version 1.3 of the shortcut

Done. It brought some of the text back

If you hit one object, one appears, hit object 2 and two appear, and hit object 3 and all 3 appear.

Could be the check once if thing from then

Edit: nope, on one object there is 7 check once if else’s but other than that not more than 6

I think it might be your cloning and variables then.
