@FearlessPhoenix May I have a Cabin The Tech Cabin?

sorry about this, but the cabins here are run by the leads, and they all have a different focus, such as etiquette, for example.

If you wanted to post stuff in general, feel free to use the Coding Gossips channel! It’s for tech in general, and I think you’d be allowed to

hey there safety cabin!
or anyone else who’d like to pitch in!

could any of you guys share your tips for staying safe online?
I was thinking we could all work together to create a helpful list of tips and guidelines!

one of my tips would be… having a secure password - which you can learn more about here!

calling all safety cabin members!

yep!

Don’t feel obliged to share anything you don’t want to! And stick to the guidelines, they’re there for a reason

If you see a possible scam, don’t click on it.

Whatever you do DO. NOT. CLICK. ON. IT.

I cannot stress this enough

DO

NOT

CLICK

ON

IT

DON’T. DO. IT.

I totally agree with Gwe, the scammers entire goal is to get you to click said link. Even just by clicking the link you can have nasty things auto downloaded to your device, so the number 1 rule is do not click.

Another thing is, sometimes you search something and a legit site can be compromised and will try to initiate a bad download. That’s why I always enable “choose where to save every download”
