Bug with Project display (Open)

I don’t need the template.

It’s very minor. But I think it could be pretty easily fixed.
By going into the notifications tab and clicking

This pops up

It shows the project and the likes and plays.
But it doesn’t show that I’ve already liked this project…and when I try to like it, I get…

:man_shrugging: (It always pops up whether or not I have stable WiFi or not.)

That’s been there for a while, surprised it hasn’t been reported already

This same problem happens for me

I think it’s of very low importance. It’s just a little annoying

Yeah this happens to me

It’s not a huge bug, just a tad annoying

It also happens with links.

Yeah that always happens to me when somebody likes my old valentine project

Yeah, that one is annoying and has been reported before:

Over 3 years ago, so it still exists and needed a bump.
Status code 400 means:

The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client SHOULD NOT repeat the request without modifications.

Source: https://www.restapitutorial.com/httpstatuscodes.html

This means that it is either an issue with the app or with Hopscotch’s servers.

That clears things up a bit. Thanks!

I am going to see if I can dive deeper into this to help THT to possibly pinpoint the issue

What I assume is wrong is that Hopscotch does not read if the project has been liked or not when you are in that particular view.

This error occurs when:

  • You open a project from a link in the Hopscotch app and it has already been liked by you

What happens is that Hopscotchs’s servers returns a status code of 400 and the error “User has already been taken”.

If you want to find my request in your logs

The time was Sunday 16th February at 17:27:35.185 (Time zone UTC+1), but it is very easy to replicate this.

Probably correct. Doesn’t set the like button to the liked attribute I think. Other possibility is that the liked attribute doesn’t exist when it should. But considering it is a 400, I think it’s the first.

I assume it doesn’t send information on whether you’ve liked a project or not when it is in your activity.

Yeah. Hopscotch most likely reads this from your Favorites tab or in some variable stored somewhere.
Only THT knows what actually is going on, and I hope they can finally fix this!

Hope it is fixed. I can never play any projects cause of this
