Bug while typing \ in a input

yes, writing 1,3,5,7,9,etc \ will result a bug, but writing 0,2,4,6,8,etc \ won’t result bugs but will return half of the written \

Like I said, it could be due to how JS works, so I’m not sure if this is resolvable or not…

To make things easier to debug, it only happens if \ is the only character inputted

So it might actually be because it is trying to find an escape character such as \n (line break) and failed to find it and returned an error (internally).

This is interesting, \ seems to work exactly like an escape character.

A value of \\ will return just \

It makes sense for \n (line break).

it seems Hopscotch is parsing input somehow, so \n will result in a new line (as an example). But yeah, just \ should not crash the prompt either way.
