Bug Report: New-ish Brown Colours Don’t Work with Numbers [CLOSED]

IDK what category to put this in, so feel free to change it.

The following colours cannot be displayed when you put a variable in the colour slot:

When you put a variable in the colour slot like this, you can pick what colour to have by putting a number in, however, the selected colours do not work.

E.G. If I put in ‘28’ it would show pink instead of the brown at the end.

This would not be game-breaking, but it is annoying in some circumstances, and these inconsistencies may be confusing to some new users.

Yeah, I explained this really really badly, so please reply with feedback.

Really random poll:

  • This should be fixed, and is urgent.
  • This should be fixed, but is not urgent.
  • Maybe it should be fixed.
  • It shouldn’t be fixed.

Wait a second… how do you put values and math blocks in the colour slot?

Copy and paste.

Oof it’s been there for a while then

Surprised no one has noticed it

What I’m not surprised about is how much you can save on Geico car insurance

I have noticed this too, but never thought to start a topic about it. It’s especially a problem when I try to make a simple art pad.

Yeah I noticed that too. Surprisingly, does work for me sometimes though.

Lucky… I wished it worked for me sometimes

These colors don’t work for me sometimes, most of the time they do:

I would love to see that fixed, but I don´t think that it should be the highest priority for THT when it comes to updates right now.

I knew that months ago lol

I did lol but never cared

Once you go past 23, it resets. This is strange, so I agree that this bug should be fixed!

Cycling of the numbers is intended, but the “new” colors aren’t included

Why quotes

And they should be included. I knew the cycle was intended, but what wasn’t was that the skin tone colors aren’t included.

Because the colors have been there for over a year now, or close to

I think it only works with the colors that were here since the Hopscotch 2.0 editor layout was still here or earlier.

3.30* (or something like that)

Old projects oddly enough can read and work properly with these, if I remember correctly. See “color holler” in my profile

I don’t work with stuff like this so I’m with you

You just drag it from a Wait block, into the colour slot.
Then, you can set the number to any number from 0-23, and that’s what colour it will be.

(The purple in the first slot is 0, not 1.)

Um… I get the first step… I feel very bad for not understanding.
