1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened): i was looking at my old drafts, and i saw one marked as last edited 6,301 weeks ago???
Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:
- oh um…?
- uh?? i don’t know, it’s not a bug with the projects themselves???
I expected this to happen:
you know, the twenty-first century
But instead this happened:
i have a draft from before computers
Here’s a sweet screenshot:
this whole thing- i’m crying i swear - best bug ever-
also your draft names are interesting - especially ‘gorilla, how deep do you go?’
i don’t care if it’s fixed or solved or not
but the community needs to know about this
i presented it in the only way i know how
also you don’t need to look at the other drafts, pleeasee
oh, and also, the last draft listed isn’t sorted like the others.
like by time?
its 62, 63…6,301…and then 20 weeks
yeah thats weird
ok here’s an update about the 20 week one: i posted it, but it’s still in drafts
why is this bug sound so funny?
because hs has only been around for 493 weeks
Over 494 weeks, as HS’s birthday is on April 16 (which @Madi_Hopscotch can confirm)
Also, April 23, 2013 is exactly 1 day before my birthday (my 12th to be more specific). Coincidence? I think not.
Maybe @braynee202 is just a time traveler
Just to check, where was the draft created, if you remember — in the app or on the web explorer?
I checked the timestamp for the project in the admin page and indeed it seems funky:
0002-01-01T00:00:00Z or 0002-01-01T00:00:00Z
that would be 3 January 1902… there wasnt even a darn computer at that time haha
Let’s make sure that all posts here are related to the bug so that we don’t have to scroll through random posts to find important info on the topic
Speaking of the bug, it’s an interesting one – it appears that the web explorer does display the relative time correct, even in this example (it’s just that the app doesn’t show draft time stamps).
So if it’s not the display that’s wrong, then something generated that weird time stamp. I’m not sure how that happened though (it could be a web explorer bug or a server/app glitch, not sure yet).
okay, i think i need this changed back to 1901, because i hovered over the timestamp as the draft owner , and it told me it was last edited on december 31st, 1901, at 4:07 and 2 seconds PM.
Then that’s really weird- was the original post (regardless of the year), posted on December?
don’t think so…?
[checking all possibilities]
december 2018, @braynee202 did not exist
december 2019, this was near the beginning of a really long hiatus for 2020
december 2020, still during the same hiatus
december 2021, i was active until the fourteenth, when i went on hiatus until late january
december 2022, remains to be seen
i doubt it
did you save it to your profile after you posted it? (or do you remember??)
it was B A C K I N M Y D A Y
Given this statement and the posts above it, I think this is more of a #hopscotch-bugs:ios-community bug than a #hopscotch-bugs:web-explorer bug because the server is storing the project wrong rather than the web explorer showing it wrong.
Unless you object to it (@braynee202), I think we should be able to close this topic then – what are your thoughts?
