1 sentence description of the problem (I was doing _________, and then __________ happened):

I was writing a phrase (or two) in Arabic, but when I hit play, the text went on the wrong direction! The same happens with Hebrew.

Steps that the Hopscotch team can take to reproduce my problem every time:

  1. Write anything in Arabic or Hebrew as a Text Object
    2.Run the Code
    ….

I expected this to happen:

Text to go from Right to Left

But instead this happened:

The words went from Left to Right.

Here’s a sweet screenshot:

I have two instead of one.

Sometimes Chinese characters appear incorrectly too.

Idk y this happens. Lemme see if this happens with Hindi and Marathi. I don’t think hopscotch supports all languages.

They do support Simplified Chinese

Hopscotch supports mainly Latin Script.
Some Greek and Cyrillic letters appear thinner.

I don’t know how these appear to me since I don’t speak the language. But, I hope THT can fix the problem!

Hindi and Marathi show up properly.

Hmm, most likely a bug with the text rendering. Maybe it can’t properly render right to left characters

Those are left to right

Probably because the font can’t support some characters (probably the traditional ones)

Neither do I but it clearly flips the texts horizontally

But it doesn’t flip words
Like ‘abc def’ turns into ‘def abc’ not ‘fed cba’

True.

الابجدية العربية

shows up as

العربية الابجدية

That meant «Arabic Alphabet»

I don’t have the Subscription, so I can’t import Arabic/Hebrew text from Photoshop and use it in HS.

I tried testing this using a translator and copying into Hopscotch, and I don’t seem to be having this problem.

I think it’s because of the fact that since Arabic is flipped that hopscotch flips it back around thinking it’s the wrong direction

I think that might be it.

Hmm its everything but backwards ! Try writing it backwards !

If u wanna fix it use the “flip” block, but weird overall
