Hello! I’ve been making ADOFAI in Hopscotch for a bit now, and decided that I’ma make a dev log for it. I will occasionally post a playable demo every now and then, but I’m treating this project differently, making small changes.
Name of Project: Haven’t really decided on a name yet but “ADOFAI in Hopscotch” seems suitable.
Most recent demo: A Dance Of Fire And Ice Demo
(BLANK) is a tile is restart is skip/forward is back is angle change is customisation is idk is map is idk again lol is rotate camera angle a certain amount is spin camera angle is camera angle reset is finish
might make holds, but not making the triple planet mechanic any time soon
(oh btw there’s a cool trail now)
(if you’re wondering, the midspin angle is 180, but in the data string it’s “MID”)
Alright, I need public opinions. I want to add hit sounds whenever you hit a tile (since this is a rhythm based game after all), but due to a delay whenever you hit a tile it messes up rhythm perception (or, at least for me and someone else not on the forum).
if you need a reference, the last video I posted (the post above) has a video with the hit sounds
This might drastically affect the outcome of the game, and I’d rather be safe than sound.
Remove the hit sound?
Yes
No

Tagging everyone since this might affect the game deeply
Maybe add different songs in the future, or just make ones of your own. I can help you with that, and when you mess up, you can probably add a minor arpeggio when you mess up.
I’m most likely gonna add an option to change the language to Korean and back, since from what I know ADOFAI has both an English and Korean community
unfortunately, I don’t know Korean, so I’ll end up looking up single word translations or using references from the actual game (since Google Translate isn’t that great)
if anyone would like to help translate that would be amazing but for now I’ll stick to basic translations
