A feature I’d like to see in Hopscotch is: sound recording
I’d use it for this type of project: Computer based stuff
Here are some examples of Hopscotch code that could be improved if we had this: better sounds for computer simulations
Here is an example design I’ve made: I haven’t
I’ve seen something similar in another programming languages, it looks like this: So in scratch, you can choose between sound effects and recordings. But I would like to add a bit of rules
1: No Cussing
2: No personal info
3: No offensive content
4: No mocking beliefs or religion
5: be cool
It should have a few more rules, such as no using copyrighted music, and no mic spam (like in video games when ppl just scream into the mic and break everyones ears basically)
*Honestly you shouldn’t even be able to put your (or anyone elses) voice in because that can be used to do multiple bad things
It would also have to be human moderated, just like everything else (i dont know how you could get a robot to moderated audio in the first place)
Also, as icc said, people would most likely abuse it. It really shouldn’t be used for anything that isn’t related your game (sound effects, (non copyrighted) music, or anything else that is absolutely about the game and not just for talking to ppl)
In conclusion, I think this is a good idea on paper, but in practice it wouldn’t be a very great addition. But its not like i have any say whatsoever in wether or not this becomes a thing so whatever.
HOWEVER
It would be nice if hopscotch added some new sound effects. Maybe even background music! They could be for subscribers only, or for everybody (because everyone would prefer that)
Yes. The problem is that AI is still very new, it could have a bug and send something inappropriate, we would have to use chat gpt 4.0 and that could make the hopscotch Subscriptions higher. But yes, it could be moderated by AI. It depends.
