Can you also add them hopscotch names to a post?
(e.g. a hopscotch name from the hopscotch app)
what do you mean?
It means that leaders will be monitoring any shared projects on GitHub so you don’t use the platform to share personal information or similar.
I assume that JIC means Just In Case.
Do you mean like signing your posts with your Hopscotch username, something like this:
I really like the new Hopscotch update.
-[Hopscotch username here]
Its the hs name
(Ex. My forum name is (namr) and my hs name is (name))
Of course, you can share your Hopscotch name and add it to your post!
Okay, that’s good.
Haaaallo iv’e seen you
Wow, that is a lot of stuff.
they’re just for safety reasons
What types of website are allowed?
git.hub and rickroll attempts i am pretty sure
Things like codepen, github, yt links as long as they’re relevant and follow the guidelines, etc! If you’re unsure about wether you can share a link to a website or not, feel free to ask here or the leaders q and a topic!
Just a heads up:
Added an update to the guidelines to reflect that these rules apply across the forum, including in profile bios.
Is YouTube not allowed, they can talk thru comment section?
yt is allowed, as long as it’s an appropriate video
The only thing i posted on yt was a a bunch of images with music and a title
You’re allowed to post links to YouTube videos, however!
- if it’s a personal channel, it should be related to the app itself. You’re allowed to post non-related videos to hs on that channel as well, but it’s best to do so with caution
- when posting links to other videos, make sure:
a) is this relevant to the current conversation, about coding?
b) will it benefit other users?
c) does it comply with the guidelines?
If the answer is yes to all 3, go ahead!
