I emailed THT about my response — should I ask here instead? I didn’t get a response yet and I emailed the same day as applications opening up.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it takes a bit longer to get responses as they did open them relatively recently- i may be wrong though so we’ll see. :]

I think it would be ok if that happens – I would just encourage you to apply anyway and we can see how it goes.

If you do end up having an interview with Yuanyuan, you could also ask her about any concerns you might have during the interview. And it might help you to gauge as well if you’d think it might be a little too much.

if you’re a leader, do you have to be a moderator as well after you get experience?

edit: i should stop asking questions, i can ask yuanyuan if i get interviewed.

to my knowledge it isn’t required, but has been offered in the past to leaders who wanted to help more
if i recall correctly fearless has spent time as both a leader and moderator so i assume you’ll have a choice :)
yuanyuan or t1 will probably be able to tell you tho :+1:

No forum leader is not an intern position. (In the past, Hopscotch has had paid interns for curation and development side where there has been more hours)

No, you don’t have to be moderator at all after being leader – you’re welcome to just stay as leader.

Usually we have reached out to existing leaders and see if they’re interested in being moderator. And there is an extra notice that you have to sign (e.g. because you might be dealing with sensitive information)
