I had to extend the dates for my comp due to a leader-hosted comp starting up in between.

Well, I had to extend the application deadlines for my comp because of the whole “leader-hosted comp” thing. I also took note that half of the people who decided to join the competition voted themselves out of my poll, which I had no idea was even possible.
