I DID IT
Is it in time?
Warrior cats because I can’t think of anything better
Moonhigh had come and gone, and Reedstar hadn’t chosen the new deputy yet. Dappledpaw paced around the apprentice’s den nervously, wondering what would happen. Not choosing a deputy by the moon had reached the top of the sky was against the warrior code, and Reedstar was the most noble cat she knew.
Dappledpaw carefully padded over to where the other apprentices were talking. Leafpaw, Stormpaw, and Mosspaw were all talking about Reedstar not choosing a deputy. Dappledpaw wanted to jump in and start talking with them, but she held back and listened to what they were saying.
They were equally surprised as Dappledpaw was about Reedstar not choosing a deputy. Dappledpaw knew that Reedstar may just be very sad about losing his first deputy, but he should put the clan first. Dappledpaw kept on pondering about this until her mentor, Blackthorn, walked over and cuffed her on the ear.
Dappledpaw spun around and flattened her ears, a bit fearful. She backed away into her den. She was extremely scared of her mentor, but she didn’t really know why. Maybe it was just his powerful appearance, or his threatening growl.
Dappledpaw closed her eyes for a moment, but was suddenly awoken to Reedstar’s yowl. “Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather near the river!”
Dappledpaw walked over near the river. She wondered who the next deputy would be, and was relieved that Reedstar had finally chosen the deputy. When all the cats had gathered next to the river, Reedstar declared who the next deputy would be.
“Blackthorn will be the new deputy of RiverClan.”
Dappledpaw widened her eyes in surprise. “No…”, she murmured. Blackthorn would not be a good deputy for RiverClan.
