I have a bunch of tips for you, since I know this inside out.
Firstly, you have used slashes to fill gaps. Depending whether it is an older or newer draft, there is a way to avoid using these:
Old draft: Use spaces. The first line (going down) should always have a . to begin (Unless there is a pixel text there.) Then, once you have finished pixelising, align all the lines and put a . at the end.
Check out my Dino run: find the green Dino. I give you permission to cut and paste the "special spaces" in there. There is no need for full stops needed. Use this to fill gaps.
The reason why I work on old drafts is because of new drafts not letting me code at all. The "special spaces" do not work properly on old drafts.
